The Katowice International Airport is the 4th largest Airport in Poland by the passenger numbers, and it is located at a distance of thirty kilometers north of the city center. Each year, a sum of around 2.5 million people travel via Katowice Airport. Katowice Airport Parking Facilities

There are three parking facilities close to the terminal; P1, P2, and P3:

Long-Term And Short-Term Parking At P1

Parking lot P1 is located close to the Terminal A and B. A single-day parking at P1 shall cost around 60 ZI depending upon your vehicle size. A little bus or a trailer would cost more than a normal-sized car. Parking is also charged on an hourly basis; A 1-hour parking shall cost you 5 ZI and parking your vehicle for up to 2 hours would cost around 20 ZI. Premium parking is also available at Terminal C where a single day parking would cost from 80 ZI onwards.

Long-Term and Short-Term Parking at P2

The parking lot P2 is located at a walking distance of only 300 meters from the Terminals A and B. If you don’t want to walk, a little bus is also available for free transport from the parking lot to the terminals. P2 is open for parking 24 hours a day and remains unguarded throughout. Travelers who want to park their vehicles for 48 hours or more go with this option. The parking is charged from 6 ZI per hour and onwards.

Long-Term and Short-Term Parking at P3

The P3 parking lot is also located at a 300-meter distance from the terminal and provides an easy walk. Parking rates start from 6 ZI per hour and parking your vehicle for an entire day would cost you 50 ZI.

Katowice Airport Has 3 Small Terminals

There Airport has three small terminals – namely Terminal A, B and C. The Terminal A serves non-Schengen zone departures whereas Terminal B caters to Schengen zone departures and the newly built Terminal C oversees all kinds of arrivals. Visitors have to face intense security procedures for their safety. Terminal A and B also have a few shops and eateries, some of which are open throughout the day. Free showers are also available for freshening up. Wi-Fi is available at two airport lounges with a payable entry for economy class passengers.

If you want to spend your time sleeping at the Airport, eye mask, sleeping bag, and a pair of noise-canceling earphones may help. There are hotels located nearby which can also provide shutter and parking service.

Getting To and From The Airport

Bus

The airport is very well located, and it links to a choice of travel options for the passengers. There would probably be a bus accessible whether you are trying to reach Krakow, Katowice center or the railway station.

Taxis

Prior reservations are not required to get a taxi from the ground transportation area of the Airport Terminal. All taxis are metered and are easily accessible.
