Parking Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden Airport

The Karlsruhe Airport, also known as the Baden-Baden Airport after its region, is an international airport located in Karlsruhe. Karlsruhe is the second-largest city in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. The airport is around 40 km away from the city center and houses travelers from different nearby towns, such as Haguenau, Baden-Baden, and even Strasbourg, France. Airport parking zones

At the Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport, there is only one short-term parking zone and a variety of long-term parking zones. However, all of these zones are close to the main airport building and the terminals.  It takes around 10 to 15 minutes to reach on foot. The airport offers over 3500 parking spaces, which are sufficient for dealing with the airport’s customers.

P16 short-term parking zones

There is only one short-term parking zone at the Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport, known as the P16 parking lot. It is at the foot of the arrival and departures terminals and takes around less than a minute to reach. The parking zone has a strict short stay policy and hence is well guarded with security parole, as well as entry and exit barriers. The region costs around EUR 2 to park for 30 minutes up to few hours only. After which, if you wish to park, you must find a spot in the long-term parking zones.

Long term airport parking zones

Long-term parking, for travelers that wish to leave their car at the airport when traveling to their choice of destination, the Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport has designated a separate parking zone. There are over eight long-term zones at the airport.

P15 long-term parking zones

The p15 long-term parking zone is located directly in front of the airport arrivals and departure terminal. With a distance easily reachable in around 2 minutes, the parking zone allows long-term travelers to park up to 1 month. The charges are subject to the amount of time you have parked for, starting from EUR 17 for one day, which goes up to EUR 68 for two weeks and upwards. 

Being easily reachable and due to the convenient location, this parking lot is almost always full of cars. Hence, it’s easier to find space here through pre-booking a ticket online. To do this, you have to look for a suitable parking ticket on the Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport’s official website and online ticketing portal.

P13 long-term parking zones

The P13 long-term parking zone is an underground parking garage, around 3 minutes away from the airport terminals. It is opposite to the main airport building and is with the BB Airport Hotel. Hence, it also houses parking for those wishing to stay at the airport’s hotel due to flight transfers and other similar reasons. Like different long-term parking zones, tickets start at EUR 17 and go up to EUR 68 for two weeks.

If you wish to go on a weekend trip or business travel, you should pre-book your spot at this parking space through the online parking portals in Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport’s website.

P14 APCOA long-term parking zones

For travelers who wish to travel in luxury, the P14 APCOA parking zone is designed especially for them. For 3 to 7 days, the parking zone charges EUR 60, with an upward increase of EUR 54 per week. This car park offers valet parking to those who wish to obtain it for a minimal valet service fee of approximately EUR 16 flat.

Upon arrival at the airport, the passenger’s drivers will take the cars from them, and they are free to start their desired journey at the airport. The vehicle is taken to the parking lot and parked in one of the designated spaces. They give the key over to the airport management for safeguarding until the owner’s return. Once the passenger has returned, the car is ready for them at the departure terminal. Upon request, the APCOA management also washes, maintains, and refuel the car.

The business long-term parking zone is kept under surveillance by PAC Park & Control, a renowned security service. So best believe, your car is in safe hands.

P3 long-term parking zones

While this zone is not open around the year, it is one of the most cost-effective parking zones for long-term parking. The cost of one ticket starts at EUR 10 for one day and goes up to EUR 50 for two weeks. The zone is around 15 minutes away from the airport’s terminal. However, for smooth conveyance, the airport management provides a bus shuttle service every few minutes.

It is important to note that the P3 Long Term parking zone is closed in the wintertime due to ESC Hugelsheim being conducted at the parking zone. Hence, we advise pre-booking a different long-term parking zone in winter. 

Payment at the parking zones

There are parking ticket machines installed in the short-term and long-term parking zones. These ticketing machines accept all modes of transaction, except payment through American Express Card. You can buy your parking tickets using cash, credit cards, and debit cards.

Disabled airport parking zones

The airport has designated individual parking spaces in all Its parking lots at the airport. In the short-term parking zone, the disabled parking Is right in front of the terminal and is free of cost for up to 2 hours. However, after that, the regular fee applies. Similarly, in the long-term parking zone, the P13 district has a whole parking level designated for those with disabilities. They are also provided access from the hotel to the terminal for smooth conveyance.

The disabled spaces have symbols for easy identification. If you wish to park at these special parking spaces, you must have a valid handicapped ID for authentication. Upon your arrival at the airport parking barriers, you must present your ID to the airport parking security.
